What the Challenges Look Like

Every challenge lives in its own dedicated thread inside the Discord #challenges channel. I also share an archive of past challenges here in case you're not ready to join the community. Here are the types of challenges you'll get to tackle:

Copycat

You start with a real chart, infographic, or other data design product. Your goal is to recreate with a tool of your choice.

Replace

The original creator made a specific choice in their work. Your goal is to create an alternative.

Adapt

Take one type of reporting product and turn it into a different type of reporting product.

Extract

Find the interesting insights or stories hidden inside longer reports.

Simplify

Take a technical or jargon-filled passage and make it readable.

Warmup

Short activities to get the creative juices flowing.
